I was born and raised in Central CT, and my focus had always been on academics and books. I was an above average student and the daughter of an entrepreneur (my father) and a hair stylist (my mother). Throughout school, I excelled in the traditional academic arenas of English, Math, Science, & Latin, but my senior year of high school allowed me an opportunity to take several electives- many of which were art classes. It was here that I discovered a passion and ability that had yet been untapped. As I entered college and then the "real world" of full time employment, I continued to seek employment in the business sector (finance & insurance) but never lost my love of art. A turn of events in May of 2013 encouraged me to pursue my art beyond a hobby.
Today I have created The Taylored Spirit as sole proprietor and artist. My own Rescue dog- Katie the Pit Bull- is my inspiration and my muse and I am grateful every day for the life lessons she teaches me. Creating animal portraits with the intention of enriching others lives is a tremendous blessing. I cannot thank my clients, supporters, friends, and family enough for all they do to make The Taylored Spirit a success.
My goal in establishing the Taylored Spirit is to pursue a vocation which encourages my talents, provides for my family, and shares joy and serenity with my fellow man. My own relationship with animals is a tremendous source of happiness, and my hope is that my work spreads that same joy to you. Each work I create is made with this sole intention.
Thank you for visiting my page, I wish you love and light today. -Carrie
